Your NVR appears to be functional. However i am trying to connect a JennovPOE Camera and it is not working. You should state that your NVR is restricted or limited to only Reolink POE cameras. It is not fair advertising to mislead customers. You should make it abundantly clear -----DO NOT CONNECT OTHER PRODUCTS .USE ONLY REOLINK.I am stuck with a new Jennov POE Camera. IS there any way i can add the Jennov POE Camera? I also have a Sunba PTZ POE Kindly advise how to add them to your REOLINK NVR I await your instructions

All of their products are very easy to set up and work well with the app. I do recommend it, but you will have to purchase new ones every year or two. I have had the system for two years/two months and the NVR has failed. I have also had to purchase a new camera out of the eight due to a failure. So they do have some problems with quality, I’m not sure how long they expect their products to last.

I have had all of the competition (Q-See, Lorex and Hikvision to make a few) and I honestly love the ease of usage as well as the sheer simplicity of the system. I can’t put it any plainer than that. The image quality is superb (live and playback) with not a beat missed. Setup is a breeze and my goodness, the size of this NVR compared to those mentioned above for a like minded system is amazing. It’s so small and extremely quite (no more super loud and annoying humming). I would not hesitate to purchase another Reolink system and I am throughly satisfied!

This is a great system for someone looking for a security system that will not break the bank. If comes with everything you need. Altho the included screws did not work for my install into wood. Indoor on drywall you would be just fine with the included screws and anchors. Set up is plug and play. Run ONE ethernet line and your good to go. NO need to run a separate power line to the cameras. Cameras are 4mp and look great. Night vision does well in low light. Once you get the setting adjusted per camera, you are good. Easy to setup the system on the NVR. App is very easy to navigate. When I get a chance, I will be forgoing the app access and setting up a direct access. This way I do not need to access the Reolink cloud network to access my cameras. Setting this up is simple and there is a bunch of videos on YouTube on how too. Not that accessing the system view the app inst a complete bad thing. However, anytime you have something leaving your personal network, accessing to another network so you can view it, leaves room for someone to intercept or view your cameras without you knowing... You are able to also access your system from your web browser, from any computer on your network. Just enter the IP address your NVR is using. You can setup alerts for motion for each camera individually. The system comes default with motion alerts ON. SO when you start hearing a BEEP from your system, THIS is why. ANY motion on ANY camera will cause this beep, alerting of motion. You can setup snap shots when motion is detected and have it emailed to you. You can set sensitivity for each camera. You can also turn this feature off all together. Recording can be set to a record schedule or set to 24/7. For me 24/7 is it. They system will auto over write the oldest recording when the hard drive become full. There is an external SATA port if you need more hard drive storage. The NVR uses a VGA and HDMI out for a viewing monitor. You WILL need to use the VGA port to access the NVR for the first time to set the resolution to HD. Once its set, it stays set so you can plug in any HD monitor or TV. I have my NVR in with my server rack and send the HDMI over ethernet to the room I can view the monitor from. HDMI to cat converters are not very much and saves you from running costly HMDI cable to another room just to watch the cameras. If you are keeping the NVR next to the viewing screen, the kit does comes with a HDMI cable. Reolinks customer service has been very responsive to the couple times I needed to contact them for very MINOR questions and comments. I think I covered most of the points. All in all I would recommend this system to anyone looking to add cameras to their home or business. However, if I were to do this again, I would opt for the 16ch NVR over the 8 channel as I now have all 8 channels used and could use another couple channels to REALLY cover my home (personal preference). I AM happy with the coverage I do have with the 8 channels.Read full review

Setup was very easy. 4 mp cameras produce awesome clarity as compared to 2mp on my last system. Night vision is excellent. The interface is easy to use.
