The important things are that the machine works and the battery charges. Pretty easy choice to keep it. I bought this as an "out-of-box" item. Prior to making the purchase, I researched "out-of-box" to typically mean that it is unused and simply that the box has been opened. To my surprise, this machine had dirt already in the various sections that dirt would wind up once it has been used a number of times. I also did not find in instruction manual packaged in. In conclusion, I feel a bit deceived however my floors are now getting cleaned more often than before.
