I built a soprano ukulele, and needed some tuning machines. These fit the bill. Typical, inexpensive open tuning machines you would find on most entry level Ukuleles. I mounted the tuners to my headstock, strung the instrument with D'addario Nyltech strings. After some pre-stretching on the strings, they held the tune just fine. They did grind a little at first. A drop of light machine oil on the bronze gear will remedy that. good replacement for similar tuning machines. The cheap price makes them worthwhile.

I bought these to replace the crappish little tuning machines on my Octopus uke, which ground and tore up in a few months). These look like they are identical to the ones on my Makala Dolphins, which have served me very well for several years. They fit perfectly, hold the tuning, the gears turn smoothly, installation was a snap (this was my first time changing out tuning machines). So - if you're looking to replace some grindy, broken , run-down uke tuning machines, consider these!

I received the order, but they left out the mounting screws. I have tried multiple times to contact them to send or credit the mounting screws. However, there messages do not even make sense. They want me to return the whole shipment. I resend again and explain, and they respond with we can not replace.

These machines work great for Ukulelles. Much better than friction or wood pegs.
