Easy to use film scanner that uses your cellphone's resolution to scan negatives and slides. The KODAK software which is a free app for your phone works well and easily. This unit breaksdown and you can take it anywhere, so when visiting family to be able to scan in their images and then share the digital files later. The only issue is that your cellphone rests atop the unit, so I have found that some tape to hold it in place helps, or a piece of Fun Tack on either side once you've positioned it. For the price, it's great.

The platen is barely bright enough for a good picture. Dark slides are a real challenge. I would also be happier if the phone surface was nonslip, I added a piece of nonslip material to the camera platform to keep the camera from sliding around which helped a bunch. Would also like to see some instructions or a YouTube video on how to get the most out of the app. Thanks

This product is great for a quick scan of a slide or film. The images it takes are only as good as your camera on your phone. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S10 which has a good camera. It is a good device to toss in your kit, if you come across film or slides being sold in a yard sale or flea market. I added a few scans from film processed close to 80 years ago. I did not process this images the are a direct scan.

I love it easy to use I love the fact that I was using my own camera to fix some pictures and the app was very very very useful too I would recommend it before buying the more expensive stuff

This is a great inexpensive way to convert slices into digital images. The quality fully depends on the camara used to make the digital image but it is a great light box. The pictures are all almost 50 year old slides converted to digital.
