This Roomba S9+ is worth all the hype and price tag. Amazing how well it cleans. It takes a few days to map your home to tell it what rooms to clean. The base empties the dirt into a bag so there is no mess. Alexa is setup to communicate with “Rami” the Roomba!!

We bought this S9+ because we wanted the self clean out feature. We have owned a model 960 since they were first produced several years ago and it preformed perfectly. After owning the S9+ for a few months now we have discovered it has four problem issues. 1. It does not edge clean as well as the 960 and misses some debris. 2. It pushes chairs around and continually tries to push backwards against furniture and the wall spinning its wheels. 3. It bumps into the wall and furniture at full speed and the bump rail is not as effective as the 960. 4. It does not map as precisely as the older 960 and drives around in circles confused.

We are Roomba lovers. This is our third Roomba. We upgraded from the 980 that after three years was still doing an amazing job. I just wanted the self emptying feature. I was so disappointed in the S9. I was all set to buy the i7 that had such great reviews but the realized there was a newer model. Without hesitation I bought the s9. What a disappointment! We’ve purchase our first s9 and kept getting a message to install a battery. There was a battery installed. We returned it to receive our second s9 that couldn’t find the base 50% of the time. The battery would die before retuning to the base. After three days of using it still hadn’t been able to find the master bedroom. We’ve now purchased the i7 and are completely satisfied. Input voltage 100-127v only. Quite strange for modern electronics, SLAM implementation is quite good but robot took about a week to map 250 sq m apartment. Map is excellent and very convenient to have room labeling and no-go zones. Product support is not responsive, never managed to get an answer. Had a problem to set a schedule which disappeared after few days of trying to resolve it.

So far it has met our expectations. It 's cleaning efficacy is about 95%- small particles sometimes are not picked up. It took sometime to learn how to set up training and room maps. A good operating /instruction manual is WANTING! I learnt most every thing I needed by going to you tube or googling questions.
