Compact design compared to other types with similar performance. Also more sturdy/rugged. I like it. I am actually going to mount it in attic, suspended from roof joists. This way no weathering and close to outdoor performance (will only have 1 sheet of plywood and 1 ply of shingles for radio signals to penetrate)

The pieces did not fit together. It was impossible to assemble without bending the aluminum tubing. Other reviewers mention broken plastic parts; that is probably because they tried to force it. After spending a lot of time finessing the parts to get them to fit together correctly, the thing is useless. I get better reception using a 4 foot piece of wire stuck into the antenna connector on my receiver even after mounting this thing in the attic and running coax to it.

This antenna has solved my FM reception problems. I live in a rural area about 40 -50 miles from stations that I want to hear. I tried my TV antenna, indoor rabbit ears and dipole type antennas. This antenna outperforms them all hands down. Low cost, easy to assemble and it works GREAT! I was amazed at how much better my reception was.

I only gave this product four stars because it was a little "clunky" to put together. Getting the elements attached was almost like fighting a wild tiger for a few minutes. I had to manipulate the antenna elements (the curved sections) to get them to go over the screws so I could secure them. I noticed one side of the curved element is a bit longer than the other but it didn't seem to matter which way you attached them. Once the elements were seated down on the screws, it all seemed to fit together nicely and the screws and nuts went on very easy. I did not like that they used black plastic on this antenna to secure the ends of the elements. Black plastic in the sun will certainly be a problem down the road, but I wonder if the elements will be okay since they don't seem to be too flimsy--meaning even if that black bracket that holds the outer edge of the element gets damaged, the element will still support itself (and let's hope no fat birds sit on the elements). Time may tell. There is also that issue with the coax connector having a small collar around it. It's not really a big deal. If you have a pair of needle-nose pliers, you can easily & safely attach the coax, then slide the rubber boot over it. As for me, I'll do something more than just that boot, but I've put many antennas on towers over the years! I also liked the U-bolt assembly. It seemed quite ample to hold this antenna on a mast or tower. After I got it assembled, I connected it to my tuner with about five feet of coax. It pulled in every local station solidly and even a few low-power translators that are usually pretty "iffy". I'm looking forward to mounting this thing on the top of my TV antenna mast. I'm guessing everything will come in nice and clear! Overall, I'd give this antenna a thumbs up. If you need a decent antenna to pull in everything locally, and the FM towers in your area are like they are here (surrounding you from every direction), then I'd say this antenna would probably be a high score for you!Read full review

Looks round and omni directional but is not. You just have to turn it to the direction of the stations you want to get most, other stations you want to get you would have to turn it to get those, so not all directions pick up at all. Why don't they make one just straight up like a car antenna that you could mount way up in the air like I have this one and pull in station's from all directions for your house stereo? My tuner on my Teac must be a real turd cause my truck radio pulls in way more stations than this thing does and it is not mounted on a pole way up above everything and I don't have to point it no direction. You would think they would make a fm antenna for your house that could pull in at least what a car on the ground can pull in or again my Teac tuner must be a real turd.
