Fixing the scratches on an Apple Series 5 watch I was expecting to scrub for about an ... Fixing the scratches on an Apple Series 5 watch I was expecting to scrub for about an hour. After two hours of scrubbing I turned to my rotary tool (Dremel or similar). That’s when I started seeing some progress. I used the rotary tool for another 20-30 minutes. I would estimate the depth of the scratches to about 0.1-0.2 mm. You would be much better off buying just the repair paste (of which there really isn’t much in this pack) and using a polishing attachment for your Dremel. For reference I attach before and after pictures.
