I'm about a 100 miles from the TV stations, out here in the country. I had the big 100 mile antenna about 35 feet in the air. It got to where the stations would fade in and out and eventually stay out with no picture. Not only is this one performing near perfect it looks a whole lot nicer and more streamlined looking than the old one. Still 35 feet in the air. There is a lot of plastic parts on this one along with aluminum so my only concern is how long the plastic will hold up in the Texas sunshine and heat. I did not connect the motor because it is picking up a few channels from another city an hour away and in an opposite direction and I don't have to turn it to that other city just to get them. I am surprised and pleased with the performance and price. The brand name is McDuory, so I would recommend this one over the cheaper one on ebay. Did I mention I'm a tough critic?Read full review

Was always skeptical of these types of antennas until a friend of mine told me he got one and wound up getting about 10 channels he never had before. I live in an area with a lot of hills literally right next to me which restricts reception big time. I took down my 14 foot Channel Master and while I was testing the rotor function while on the living room floor, I picked up one more channel that I hadn't gotten in years. Two more were coming in sketchy but I think once the leaves come off the trees, I should get 2 or 3 more. I am TOTALLY satisfied with the performance and would recommend this to anyone asking.
