Hi! I'm a professional Auto Mechanic that works on expensive foreign luxury cars. So, I've seen my share of backup and for that matter, Frontview and even Sideview cameras. All of the aftermarket backup cameras that I've seen up to this one have been crude cheap toys, as opposed to the mostrously expensive OEM cameras, which are pretty decent. This Natika camera seems equal to the OEM ones, in both construction and picture quality, both at day and night. It even surpasses several older OEM cameras for image quality, at a fraction of the cost. The camera housing is very solid and appears nearly identical to an OEM camera from outside. The mounting arrangement and cabling are extremely good, with enough cable to reach all the way back to the rear of a full-sized SUV. The special camera connector is extremely narrow, allowing it to pass through the 8mm mounting hole, but also to easily pass through wiring boots that carry wires to the hatch / tailgate. The single hole mounting allows for easy lateral adjustment, and the provided set of wedge shims allow for quite a bit of vertical adjustment. The power for the camera can be tapped directly at the Reverse lights, or at the radio chassis end. Three wire loops near the camera can be cut to flip the image vertically or horizontally, or to disable the guide lines superimposed on the picture. In short, this is the only Backup camera I have seen that I can recommend. As a bonus, it can also be used as a front view camera, and appears at least as sturdily built as an OEM Frontview camera.
