Scanner will not open on three Windows 10 computers. Finally got it to work on a fourth computer. Kodak support was, to be kind, less than helpful. Their first response was to plug it into another USB port. I tried seven with the same result. They then told me to turn the computer off and back on...seriously?? That of course did not work either. The unit works pretty well after I finally found a machine with which it worked. I would not recommend this product.

Does what I needed it to do (at least with kodachrome slides which is what I needed it for). Colors and brightness are adjustable in the Kodak software, Kodak software was reasonably easy to use in Windows 10 (did crash once or twice among 100 slides but not horribly unstable), and scanner, for the price, does just fine.

I purchased it for its ability to synch with an older OSX system, and it does easily scan negatives. But it is a pretty basic scan and the shadows and detail do not have lot of definition. If you need something more complex and capable of higher resolution, it will take another level of scanner.

Great way to create digital picture copies of a drawer full of negatives.

Very good for what it is. Not much enhancement allowed and pictures dark but still good. I would recommend.
