In our area (Pacific northwest) these traps work great for a couple different varieties of Yellowjackets and also for Bald Face Hornets. Does not seem to draw Paper Wasps, but they tend to be less aggressive anyways.

Before use, yard was nearly covered with yellow-jackets. After we hung it up two days ago, it catches nearly half way up each day. Now it is so nice to go out and be able to walk around being bothered by them so much. And we can watch them just swarming around the trap.
