This came shipped in a Lowes box. It seems to be an older model. The only difference between this and the store model is that for fifty more bucks you get a blow molded case. This lays down paint so fast that you will spend more time refilling the cup than painting. I painted a 10 X 12 OSB floor in my workshop in about 5 minutes not counting time for one refill. I did not notice any over spray. I also bought a giant spray shield so I did the interior of my shop without any masking or mess. Refills can get messy but get better with practice and technique. Get pour spouts for you paint cans and set up a portable workbench outside to make an efficient and quick refill station. I also painted an 8 foot sawbuck consisting of 6 4 foot X sections .... way more complex than your picket fence and it painted it very quickly and neatly. I used the slow speed because I could not move fast enough in all the complex areas. While you are waiting for this to arrive, go to the home center and buy the preservative anti corrosion fluid for this along with extra cup liners and a giant paint shield. The other model with variable speed and the 48 ounce cup would be useful if the extra hundred bucks is not a problem. The pump pulses the paint out and is noticeable only if you move too fast and try to lay down a thin coat. A little practice and technique help. With this and a spray shield you can paint your house quick. You will spend more time moving the ladder and refilling than painting,Read full review

It wouldnt be that bad, if you could get decent tips for it. They spit way too much paint out. turning the pressure down doesnt help either, because its a pulsating stream, (like a wagner power painter), and not a continuous stream like an airless. I bought this so I could spray front doors with a quart of paint, and while it gets the job done, they dont look as good as they should. I guess you need to shell out 400 bucks for the pro model to be able to put a decent tip on it, to get a decent spray.

I am a bit loony but I am painting the whole exterior of my 2 story home with this thing. It is light weight and easy to use. The only drawbacks are you need to fill the reservoir frequently and for whatever reasons mine only sprays while holding it upside down. I am going to reread the instructions to see why it is that way. I still have a whole day left to paint because I am slow and like to take my time but it is not bad with this sprayer. No drips and no messes. Easy to clean up afterwards.

Worked for the most part. It "jammed" many times. Not sure the cause, I just had to keep priming it and fiddling. The system is quite messy to use, so be warned. However, when it was working, it was fricken rocking it! We painted a whole floor of my house with 2 coats in 1 day.
