I have installed three of these. We get a lot of lightning strikes here. I have not had any issues since installing these in my house and shop; even when my neighbors lost all of their electronics during a recent storm. These are easy to install, just need a 220v 20 amp breaker to wire it to. Every thing else is included. These units don’t burn out after a single surge like the power strips do.

Protect your whole house. Most new constructions include protection in the panel. I like this better then the breaker type because it protects all leads ground-neutral-and both hots. cheap protection for your valuable electronics and really the only way to protect appliances like ovens, hot water heater controls that use 220V. If you are electrically inclined simple to install... But if not best to leave it to an electrician. Blessings, John 20:29

Throughout the last 25 years. We have used this exact product protecting our electronics with secondary surge protections attached to the outlets. Living in the woods, means certain sacrifices when the wind blows trees down on power lines. Sending electrical surges down the power lines to us. We have replaced this whole house panel surge protection device, a minimum of 13 times. It has saved us thousands of dollars each time. Quick replacement of the unit. Gets us back in protection mode. One can spend under $100 to thousands of dollars for protection. Nothing will stop all power surge issues. Now you know our history.

I bought the cheaper one for under 60$. It’s only good for 600v/3400 joule spike of surge @ 110/220v. But will do a great job for my camper with the generators Ac spikes. Installed it to day my self in about 8 minutes, very easy to do.

Clear instructions on how to install. Actual installation is easy and can be done with basic tools and electrical knowledge. Reminder to follow all Safety rules and if you are concerned or not sure on how to do this contact an electrician. Working with and in the electrical panel can kill you! The unit seems to work fine, both green led’s are on. If one or both go out that would indicate a surge that exceeded the limits and the unit did its job. Other than that it just sits there.
