the framebars are too wide and the cagebars are too smooth for my cockatiels to climb easily.. it takes two hands to open big doors and mine had a bad wheel plug in the leg. my canary fits this better but she hops which makes screw-on perches bong and rattle the bars; probably because the bars aren't welded to the frame, which is safer for chewy climby hook-billed birds, yet i wouldn't recommend housing any kind of parrot in this because their beeks may bend or become wedged tightly between the bars. top not built to hold much weight.

This cage works just as I was looking for. It is large and "Clean" looking and my canaries are happy. I would not say it is a parrot cage or for sure not a large parrot as the wire gauge is small like a finch or canary cage but it is perfect for finches or canaries and probably love birds etc....
