I found out by watching youtube videos about grommets that if you cut a little X Before punching your hole, you can grommet any fabric. A lot of people complain that the punching tool doesn’t work, and I agree. The instructions should say to use a knife or scissors in that case. I used mine to hang up some moving blankets on some cup hooks for acoustic and aesthetic improvement in my music space. Very happy with the easy, quick installation and clean look, plus the best value kit out there that I could find.

The cutting tool to cut the hole in the fabric is very dull ... I had to cut the opening for the grommet with an exacto knife ... then I was able to install the grommets.

It IS dull, but in less time than it took to write this review, i twirled it on my bench grinder and its sharp enough for surgeon. No bench grinder?, use a file then. Easy to do again if needed. Beats complaining when the solution is it your fingertips.
