Perhaps I Got A Dud
The reviews were very good and perhaps I got a defective unit, but even with direct line of sight and 2 feet of distance between source and cable, I got constant signal drops. In addition to the terrible performance I only got 6 hours of playback out of a rated 11 to 12...... I believe the reviews, that this cable solved all the problems with the BT1, but my experience was not good. I had to send it back.

I must have gotten a defective one
The first thing I did after receiving the Shure BT2 was to charge it, install my SE535 earphones, then connect it to my laptop using standard A2DP protocol Bluetooth. It was great. The sound was good and I liked the freedom of not being tethered to anything. Next, I connected it to my Sony A15 Hi-Res player using the aptX codec. I was really disappointed at the limited range and the number of dropouts when I moved away from the source. It was tolerable but just barely. I then connected it to my Astell&Kern AK380 using the aptX HD codec. It was terrible. Range was reduced to just a few feet and if I turned my back to the source the dropouts were intolerable. To make matters worse, the BT2 began to turn itself off for no apparent reason. That was the last straw. I returned it but I'm afraid to ask for a replacement for fear of encountering the same problems. I noticed a number of similar complaints on Amazon.com. I should point out that I tested the BT2 at different locations to be sure that the dropouts weren't being caused by interference. However, the problems persisted regardless of my location. My advice is to be sure you have return privileges before you buy. Recommend you buy from an authorized dealer.Read full review

Amazing Addition to Old Earbuds
I have had my Shure earbuds for years now and enjoyed the quality that came with such powerful audi drivers. Years have passed since then and with the change of phones I have owned not including the 3.5mm audio jack I have opted for larger headphones with Bluetooth capabilities. This is why purchasing this adapter became such a game changer for me. With the same highquality audio drivers that I loved, I am now able to listen to my music with crystal clarity. The lightweight feel, in-line audio control and provided clip are amazing. I can't have imagined this until I purchased and used the product.

Not Quite Satisfied with Shure (RMCE-BT2)
This product falls a bit of my expectations because it's sound quality does not match my balanced cord connection's sound quality and more importantly, the sound cuts out sporadically. I've tried a coupld days, but I haven't found the reason (cause) for the intermittent interference yet.
