This is a good device. There are many Bosch laser range finders to choose from and so it is easy to find one which suits you. While I enjoy mine, I haven't been able to get it to change from metric to imperial measurements despite what the manual, a video and the Bosch help desk say. Yet, I don't believe mine is broken. And it doesn't prevent me from measuring. I just have to do it in metric. A steady hand is needed when measuring small things far away but this is also a minor problem. Over all, I'm pleased with my purchase.

This is a great product. Be aware that 2 different models exist with the same name (GLM40). Mine has another display and unfortunately when measuring an area I don't have the 2 measures with the surface displayed on the screen as shown in the listed picture.
