Editorial Reviews
Review
"Instead of peddling the usual hyperpositive, 'mama'-centric musings on what it’s like to have a bun in the oven, this pop-culture-reference-filled book lets you laugh at all the unpleasant things about growing a human inside of you, like the constipation, bloating, and epic mood swings that come with it."—The Strategist
"Funny as hell (they had me at the constipated kitten coloring page). This book should be at every baby shower.”—Amy Morrison, founder of Pregnant Chicken
"A down-to-earth, hilarious, indispensable companion that will help pregnant people everywhere keep their wits about them while growing a human inside them. I wish I'd had this when I was pregnant, and am almost tempted to get pregnant again so that I can use it (except, no)."—Emily Gould, author of Friendship
"Nothing worked to keep hope alive when I was pregnant. Not Saltines, ginger ale, ratty nausea bands. Definitely not party pics from my slimmer, drunker days. If only I'd had The Big Fat Activity Book for Pregnant People. It's got forty weeks’ worth of distractions, jokes, compassion, and satisfying meanness about America's Military-Radiant-Pregnancy Complex. This book is a public service for all those involved in the hideous miracle of human gestation."—Virginia Heffernan, author of Magic and Loss
“Whether you are about to become one of those moms who posts pictures of her baby in ‘__ weeks old’ message onesies every seven days for the next two years—or one of those moms who rolls her tired eyes at those people, you will find comfort, solidarity, entertainment, and maybe even total life enlightenment in Jordan Reid's and Erin Williams' utterly/udderly relatable The Big Fat Activity Book for Pregnant People. It is perfect. I'm ordering one for every pregnant person I know. The only downside of how hilarious this book is? You might pee a little.”—Lauren Smith Brody, founder of The Fifth Trimester, author of The Fifth Trimester
“I LOVE THIS BOOK. Clever and witty and so totally on point. Wish I had it when I was pregnant—although I would be laughing so hard that I would be pregnant peeing myself all the time. So instead I’m going to give it to all of my pregnant girlfriends so they can pregnant pee themselves.”—Marissa Hermer, “Ladies of London” (Bravo), author of An American Girl in London
"Will get you through your morning sickness better than pickles and peanut butter and whatever else TV says pregnant ladies crave. Hilarious and human, Jordan Reid and Erin Williams prove that while pregnancy might mean losing access to espresso and all that sweet gooey brie, it never means losing your sense of humor."—Jennifer Wright, author of It Ended Badly and Get Well Soon
"Pregnant? Enjoy these nine months because they’re your last gasp of sweet freedom! Brutally honest and utterly hilarious, Jordan Reid and Erin Williams have written an entertaining, engaging book perfectly encapsulating the roller-coaster of emotions (excited! bored! terrified!) women go through during pregnancy. A must for any soon-to-be mama.”—Nadine Jolie Courtney, bestselling author of Beauty Confidential
"I knew this book was legit the minute I saw they recommended Sour Patch Kids as a morning-sickness remedy. And I was sold on their expertise at the list of things people will tell you you need, but you actually don't need, on your registry. Some of the best pregnancy advice you can receive is from the friend who's been there (very recently) and not afraid to keep it real, while also careful not to unnecessarily scare the crap out of you. This book is that friend."—Jill Krause, founder of Baby Rabies
"A safer and far more effective alternative to alcohol for expecting moms, The Big Fat Activity Book for Pregnant People will keep you entertained well into those first few crazy weeks postpartum. Thank you to Jordan and Erin for providing non-stop belly laughs from page one. This book will definitely be on my list of recommendations for expecting moms for years to come."—Monica Banks, founder of Gugu Guru
"This book will help you achieve the chill vibes you'd normally get from drinking alcohol, eating soft cheese, or being able to get up off the couch."—Beth Newell, creator of Reductress, author of How to Win at Feminism
“My new favorite thing! I just had a baby, and I am already looking forward to my next pregnancy when I will most definitely be cuddled up with this book, laughing my way through each page. It is a relatable activity book that is sure to ease any pregnant woman's mind, and I will absolutely be purchasing it for all of my pregnant friends!”—Audrey Scheck, West Coast Digital Director, Us Weekly
"Will keep you laughing and nodding along... If you're looking for an honest, refreshing, and oftentimes laugh-out-loud funny look at your pregnancy, this is the book for you."—Maternity Glow, The 11 Best Pregnancy Books
"A hilarious, crass and really silly way to entertain your pregnant self while reflecting on this life-altering experience. Plus, it’s a fab way to kill some time when you’re stuck on bed rest or simply too tired to do anything but cuddle on the couch and giggle with your partner."—Today's Parent, 14 best pregnancy books that are worth buying
"Everyone loves activity books and this one for pregnant women is probably the best one on the market today."—Someecards, 27 Products You'll Love If You're Really, Really F**king Weird
"This fun and funny pregnancy activity book will be sure to give your pregnant friend the huge laugh she needs."—Women'sDay, 40 Thoughtful Gifts For Pregnant Women
"Absolutely obsessed… I don’t know how it’s possible for a person to be so funny. [Jordan and Erin] are geniuses.”—Modern Mom Probs

Jordan Reid grew up in New York City, studied cognitive neuroscience at Harvard University, and worked as an actress for over a decade before turning her focus to her true passions - fashion, beauty, entertaining, home décor, and DIY - by creating the lifestyle website RamshackleGlam.com. She is the author of Ramshackle Glam: The New Mom's Haphazard Guide To (Almost) Having It All, Carrying On: Style, Decor and More For The Nervous New Mom, both from Perseus Books, and The Big Fat Activity Book For Pregnant People, cowritten with Erin Williams and coming from Penguin Random House in Spring 2017.
Reid has been called "a star of the post-expertise how-to landscape" by The New York Observer, and Ramshackle Glam (www.ramshackleglam.com) has been deemed a "survival guide for those who don't have a clue how to be domestic" by the Daily Beast. In a feature on Ramshackle Glam, Time Magazine wrote, "Of all the changes wrought by social media, few underscore the reach of the individual like the rise of Reid."
Reid has conceptualized, styled and executed national campaigns for companies including Dove, TJ Maxx, DKNY, Simple Skincare, and Ecco Domani, and has appeared in a wide variety of publications and websites, including InStyle, New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and The Nest. She has spoken at fashion and beauty events around the country, hosted two seasons of the Meredith Video Studios-produced home decor show Jordan In The House, and hosted two series of a beauty-focused show for Allure Magazine.
Reid presently lives in the Bay Area with her husband, their two children, and their two dogs.
Erin Williams is a writer, illustrator, and medical researcher. She’s the author and illustrator of What's Wrong? Personal Histories of Chronic Pain and Bad Medicine, Commute: An Illustrated Memoir of Female Shame, and the coauthor and illustrator of The Big Activity Book series with Jordan Reid (Tarcher Perigee).
Her work has also appeared in MoMA Magazine, VQR, Salon, Huffington Post, and Buzzfeed. Her scientific research has been published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Blood, Value in Health, and elsewhere.
She lives in the suburbs with her husband, daughter, and a one-eyed cat named Peanut.

I read some reviews that stated it was terrible, please only buy it if you or the recipient have a sense of humor to go with it. Pregnancy, adulting, and life is hard enough... relax people!
Anyway, this will be my new go-to pregnancy announcement gift. I wish this had been around when I had my kids.. "a few years ago" HAHA
