Big Dogs at Beach!

This is a great stake for the beach. I used ONE stake hold BOTH my big labs (90 and 70 lbs) at the beach. I used a piece of rebar (metal rod) to help twist it into the sand. I am a female with just average strength. I only needed to get It about 3/4 of the way into the sand to hold them both. Because I didn't force it all the way into the sand, the tie out would wrap around the stake a bit, but it never even budged. Great product. Much larger than you think!

I researched thoroughly looking for a solution for soft or sandy soil. We live in central Florida and our duplex home has sand throughout our yard. And, we don't have a fenced-in yard. We needed something that our little dog could not pull out of the ground and get loose.

Installation took about 5 minutes. It was little hard getting it almost all the way in the ground with just my hands. Let me tell you, it works securely. Our little dog weighs about 15 pounds and can't pull it out of the ground. Problem solved and the quality looks to be outstanding. The salt air hasn't corroded or rusted it yet. We highly recommend this product!

Big and Strong enough for 70 pound pitbull

This tie out works perfect in the clay like soil in Missouri. I had to run the hose on the area for a while to get it in. Found that sliding a heavy stick through the welded eye and using that to turn it while applying downward pressure worked well to get it into the ground. I am a fairly small person and was able to install it easily using this method. I installed it as deep as it would go -- when it was at shallow depths it was fairly easy to pull out, but as soon as it got about a foot and a half down and the ground dried it wasn't going anywhere.

I've been using it with my 105 lb foster dog with a long tieout when I'm out in the yard since he can jump the fence if I am not paying 100% attention. He has pulled on it and managed to wiggle it a little bit, but it is still very solid. My 60 lb foster couldn't move it at all. Took off a star due to the finish coming off very easily even just from the metal rubbing on itself. I read other reviews and treated it with a rust proofing enamel and periodically go out and treat it which has kept it in good shape.

Best tether for the beach

We have (2) 50lb Aussies who have tested, pulled out, bent and destroyed many, many tethers. We needed one that would work at the beach and saw many options with mixed reviews. After seeing a few positive reviews from people using this one in the sand, we decided to give this one a try and I am soooo glad we did!!! This tether did not budge at all. Both my dogs are rough pullers, especially when they see a critter they want to chase or another dog they want to play with, and this tether held strong, in sand!! It was wonderful having this tether as both my wife and I could go into the water at the same time and feel confident that the tether would hold.
I would suggest to the seller to more clearly advertise this as a good tether for sand/beach and to maybe include a bar or pipe to assist in screwing this into the ground (I was able to install it most of the way by hand, but used a stick I found on the beach to get it down the last 4 inches) Overall, 5 stars all around ! ! ! ! !

This thing is a beast! My dog would pull up her tie out at least once a month. Every day when she went out to play I had to check her tie out. Often I'd have to hammer it down or move it.
