Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers are mixed about the quality of the pitch pipe. Some mention it's a very nice product with nice tone quality and maximum volume, while others say it'll be disappointing, poor quality, and a complete waste of money.

The product is very nice when you use it correctly... let me explain. One of the reeds inside the pipe somehow got damaged (Db is very difficult to play), but playing it at an impossible angle seems to help. It certainly didn't come this way (I seem to remember testing it as soon as I received it, but it was damaged somehow later that night). I love the tone quality and the maximum volume (because as we know, all instruments have a limit, but this limit is a strong tone). The texture is not very reedy, and the timbre is much like a harmonica (go figure). Overall, it is a very nice pitch pipe, and who needs Db anyway? My choir will be very happy, and that is all that matters I guess.
For the price I paid, I can't complain. Note, however, that the little plastic placeholder is useless. It's just a 5-cent part that snaps on, but it doesn't doesn't fit tightly enough to stay put, and it ends of being a nuisance. It's a nice idea poorly executed. It also makes it harder to fit the pipe back into the case. I ended up tossing it. Finally, one thing that the better ones have that this one lacks is colored notes so that you can more easily see them. Fortunately, I was able to fix that shortcoming with a Sharpee felt pen. Like I said, it works and you can't beat the price.

I bought this at a local music store but then replaced it with a Kratt for the simple reason that it is difficult to read the letters which are subtly etched on the metallic surface of the pitch pipe. There are no note names on the opposite black surface, whereas the Kratt has them written in white on the black surface so they are easy to read, even for a 40-something like myself, who, like most 40-somethings, has presbyopia but doesn't want to have to put on reading glasses just to read the notes on a pitch pipe.
I ordered this pitch pipe for my daughter who had a singing competition. Upon arrival, I found the device to be defective---all of the notes could not be played. I made a return request and was promptly credited for the cost of the item. I didn't even need to return it. That was great customer service! Thank you Amazon.com
