Pros:
1. Super clean, refined tone,
2. Brighter attack that cuts through the mix,
3. More consistent volume, and maintains volume during sustain. If you don't use a compressor to regulate your volume, these strings help quite a bit,
4. Just a better, deeper, punchier, more consistent tone when compared to light gauge strings.
Cons:
1. If you're are used to light gauge strings, you will have to get used to these. These higher tension strings require a harder stroke. You may experience some fatigue when first trying these, but the tonal advantages are well worth the effort of getting your fingers in better shape.
