Great size for little crafters

I got these for my newly 5 yo granddaughter, as she wants to learn how to "sew," and, as she is genetically missing aa knuckle on about half of her fingers (cute, little stubby hands that we love, but she will probably grow to hate no matter how positive a spin we put on them), she's a little dexterity challenged. She's very much enjoying sewing in different colors of yarn to make a design. She gets frustrated with the knots and mistakes, of course, but I made one up for her so that she could see the goal and be encouraged by it, and told her I'd made a bunch of mistakes, too and that's ok, we just roll with them, or fix them. Anyway, the plastic needles I got for her are a little bit of a squeeze getting the eyes through this count, but not so much that she has a bunch of trouble, since we're not yet doing designs that entail going through the same hole a bunch of times. Others, these are a great size for little hands, are nice and study, and maybe, if she keeps with it long enough, she'll end up with six of them sewn together to make her own decent size flip-lid trinket box. I may have to get more for me...🤔😄

The holes ended up being larger than I expected so it won't actually work for my project that I had in mind, they are a good size for yarn or embroidery floss or rather thin ribbon however, not good for just using cross stitching thread. It's rather flexible plastic, but seems to bend rather easily.

Used these for the bottom of a pot I bought for my ficus microcarpa ginseng to prevent soil from blocking the drainage hole. I loved this idea as most of the ones made “specifically” for drainage holes are more expansive than they’re worth and I find their holes sometimes too large.
Also really great sturdiness and type of plastic for actual crafting with plastic canvas.
