These are very nice and have many applications.
They are thick, durable, reusable, easy to clean, and can be easily modified with a good pair of scissors.
I am using them for many different applications of insect cultivation.
The 4 & 1/2 inch diameter allows them to fit the lid of any standard 8 ounce, 16 ounce, or 32 ounce deli cup.
I used a 3 & 1/2 inch hole saw to make a circular hole in a plastic jar lid and attached this canvas with
some silicon sealant to have 1/2 inch overlay on the material. That lid allows my house flies to have plenty
of ventilation without being able to escape. (see photo).
I used another one to add ventilation to the lid of a rectangular plastic lid for my cricket breeding box and
another one to create a barrier between the crickets and the soil that the crickets lay their eggs. (see photos).
