Amazing looper for creative keyboard players

This is an incredibly feature packed looper pedal for the money and Boss quality. I bought this because when I would jam alone, I'd find a cool riff or chord progression, but hit a wall trying to flesh out an idea with only two hands and my mortal levels of split coordination.

Now when inspiration hits, I can throw together a 3 to 5 layer backing loop in a half hour and save it to rock out any time. It really takes your solo brainstorming sessions to a new level.

As far as I can tell, the loop sound reproduction is seamless, so don't worry about poor fidelity. Also, the built-in drum tracks function like a metronome so they can be changed or turned off in your saved loops.

The only downside I've had with the RC-3 is that the controls can feel clumsy because record, undo, stop, and erase are all routed through the one foot switch. The additional accessory pedal is an absolute must-have if you intend to gig with the looper.

100% recommend this pedal whether you're a casual player looking to experiment or a studio pro looking for a new tool at a good price.

I wish I bought this years ago!! I'm having so much fun with this and I don't even know what I'm doing! I'm not that musically inclined but this thing makes me sound like a pro!! I love the drum machine function to add some rhythm to my master pieces. I play some basic cord, add a few licks, do a bass line, add the drums and boom I'm a rock star! I even impressed my 18 and 20 year olds! If you don't have anyone to jam with here's your answer. Great to practice jamming, cord progressions, scales, etc This is the best thing I have purchased since the original iPhone came out. Don't wait any longer and purchase this. It will make your life fun and impress your friends. Really, really easy to use. Just watch a couple of Youtube vids to get the idea and you'll be all set. Rock on!!

The RC-3 is great for practicing, songwriting, and even performing live. It has a ton of features packed into a small space for those that require it. It allows up to 3 hours of recording time that can be stored in up to 99 different save slots. It also contains 10 basic drum beats to add to your own recordings and it is USB 2.0 compatible which allows you to upload pre recorded tracks.

The most noticeable feature is the three-hour recording memory. It’s a huge step up from the RC-2 which only allowed up to 16 minutes of recording time. This means you can record up to 3 hours of material and save it to 99 different slots. You can also upload tracks directly from your computer to the pedal by connecting the two via USB.

The RC-3 also comes with 10 preset drum beats that can come in handy when you want to create your own backing track. The 10 rhythms come in a variety of styles such as Pop, Rock, Funk, Shuffle, and Latin. Although the pedal does not allow you to set the tempo incrementally like many reviews state, it does have a “tap tempo” feature that enables you to tap out the tempo you want your track to follow. Another great feature is the separate volume knobs. One is dedicated to the volume of the rhythm, the other is for the volume of the current loop.

In conclusion, This is a great pedal for the money and extremely efficient when it comes to saving space on your pedal board. If your looking for something easy to use and compact that can add a whole new dynamic to practicing, recording, or playing live, then this is the pedal for you.

This thing is awesome. It added a member to my band. I got accustomed to it within a week and immediately improved my solo skills on guitar. I found that I already want more features/capabilities which come into play with their next models up. The 2 and 4 pedal loop stations. I'm gonna need one of those soon. It gets kind of repetitive only being able to loop the same exact riff over and over again, so you gotta get a little creative. Will probably upgrade soon now that I am more familiar with the loop pedals. Really great option for beginners like me though! Highly recommend.

I've read some complaints about this unit. Maybe those folks
should shell out an additional $300 for something better.

To the rest of you, with the 99 storage units, this is a great tool.

My band, I to be exact, uses this to store backing tracks for songs
we play. For instance, one of our songs has a difficult drum track.
I just loaded the whole pre-recorded track into a slot.

Or, one of our songs has a train whistle in the background. I loaded
the effect into a slot.

Or, another song we do needs birds tweeting and children laughing
and playing in the background. I recorded the track and loaded it into
a slot.

Basically any instrument or sound effect accompaniment you need, but
don't have someone else to play it, you can play it back using this device.

It takes a little time getting some presets perfectly timed. But once you've got it, you can save it. Having the F5-6foot switch is a plus if you're going to be saving verse, chorus and bridge on a song and playing live.

Premessa: non sono un esperto nel campo, quindi pesate bene la mia recensione. Suono da solo da tanti anni, mai però in un gruppo. La mia dotazione comprende un paio di chitarre elettriche che non superano le 500 euro cad.uno e qualche chitarra acustica/classica. 3-4 pedali boss tra cui distorsore ed overdrive.
E' un pedale fantastico, mi dispiace non averlo comprato 10 anni fa. Non serve imparare ad usarlo, basta avere il ritmo nel sangue o nella testa e viene via da solo. Ti registri la base, ti registri le varie parti e poi ti diversi con le scale e gli assoli, senza mai fermarsi.
Funzionalità a parte è un boss, quindi un blocco di metallo semi indistruttibile. Cromato che nemmeno una macchina sportiva. Vale ogni centesimo speso.
