I've had my Mahulia Peace Ukulele for a week. I've left the house with it in the gig bag it came with once.
I don't expect I'll be doing that again.
Nothing happened, fortunately, but it is NOT a protective case; I spent the whole day nervous about it. So back to Amazon I came to invest in protection for my instrument.
I know, it's just a ukulele. But I've been trying and failing to play guitar for 20 years. I've had a ukulele for a week, and I can play a ton of chords, and actual songs, and can sing along at the same time. It's a wondrous thing. I want to take it everywhere, and I want it SAFE on the way. So, I bought the case designed to protect it.
It's a little tighter at the headstock than I'd like; there's literally no wiggle room. I do like the little velcro strap to keep the neck from having too much play in the case, but with how tight it is at the top, not sure how much that matters. But it's a nice touch. The storage pocket is nicely sized, fits my tuner and a couple of other things. There's enough room under the neck for a small instrument humidifier. It's Luna quality, and I'm happy.
The only flaw was that no shoulder strap was included with the case. I reached out to Amazon about it, and we were able to work something out, so I haven't marked down the quality.

Fantastic case and exactly as described. Beautifully made. It looks exactly like the photo with the embroidered Luna trademark. It fits my high tide perfectly and it has a velcro neck strap to hold it in place. It's light, strong and the pocket storage inside and out make it very efficient while I safely travel with my instrument. I play out a lot with multiple instruments, so the combination of the lightweight and the sturdiness are just perfect, not to mention I can easily put it on my shoulder.. I don't know what those other reviews are talking about. I shopped around and for the same price, this case is significantly better than anything in the same price range. Highly recommended. Just as my title says, not only does the case in the photo not match up with the product received, but the case does not fit my Luna Mahogany Series Tattoo Concert Acoustic-Electric Ukulele very well at all. It won't lay flat without one end raising. The ukulele fits so loosely in the case that it rattles around, and since this is a harder case, when it hits it seems more damaging than if it were a soft case.

Oh, and there is no "Luna" insignia on the front, as the picture shows. Honestly, that angered me more than anything. The photo, itself, lies.

As for the case, it seems well made and sturdy. But it isn't for this ukulele, nor is it the Luna brand (from what I can tell)... Don't do it. I got it as a gift, so I'm stuck with it.

I got this for my Luna High Tide. I can hear it rattle around inside. I even tried my Oscar Shmidt concert but it was still loose. The fit just isn't perfect. Maybe with another uke. Other than that it is very well built and seems very sturdy.

Ukes get short shrift as sort of frivolous instruments, but they're easy to learn and fun to play, so it should go without saying that it's worth the expense to get a good case to protect them, and this is a good case. Though many ukes are at a price point that makes a case like this seem extravagant, once the instrument wins your heart, the value of the case is easily appreciated. Treat your uke to a nice case like this and it should give you long lasting pleasure.

I do have a Luna ukulele. I don’t know if it would work with other brands of concert ukulele, but the interior is set up to accommodate many body styles.
