Perfect In All Respects but One . . .
The Grace Alley American Flag 3x5 was much more durable, bright and vivid than its predecessor. Worked just fine with my new Grace Alley flag pole too. Could have used another plastic attachment for holding the flag by its second grommet down the pole. Other than that, I had to improvise, which wasn't that hard. I guess the plastic spinner should have been included in the Grace Alley Flag Pole and I didn't find it? But the flag itself is very bright, colorful and durable.

Let me start by saying that I am the daughter of a Desert Storm vet. I grew up with flag etiquette being drilled into me and that translates to the utmost adult respect for the red,white and blue. So, when I came to Amazon looking for a flag for my front porch, I had two requirements. She had to be made in America and she had to be durable. This fit the first bill and according to thousands of reviews, the second too. Well, a year later and I can tell you that I’m more than a little disappointed. My Old Glory looks like she’s been through a battle. She’s faded to a denim blue with almost pink stripes and I just noticed that the whole seam on the bottom has started to rip. Not to mention that both grommets are rusting onto the flag. For context, I should probably mention that I only put her out starting in the spring and leave her out til the beginning of fall because the winds and crazy storms we get in PA are not kind to any flag. She doesn't stay out in rain at all, if I can help it. And yet, I got maybe one good season out of this poor girl and now I’m going to have to retire her. I know flags don’t last forever, but to use words like “fade resistant” and “anti rust” in your marketing is kinda false advertising. Makes me sad that it’s this hard to find a good American flag…in America.
