My wife decided we needed to share house cleaning responsibilities. After mopping one bathroom with a dollar tree mop and a cheap bucket I decided to order some real janitorial supplies. I finished the whole house with this mop and a wringer bucket in under an hour. She had taken over half a day with her previous equipment. She now wants to allocate me more duties but I informed her that working smarter does not mean working harder. The mop gets 5 stars but my wife's attitude gets 2. And one of those stars is because I am married to her.

Its Heavy and Doesn't Absorb Water

The mop is sturdy, has a nice head of hair, and when submerged into the bucket it absorbs the water. However, it is very hard to ring out the mop with two hands. And, when going back over the floor for the second time to mop up any excess water it does not absorb well, the floor is left with a lot of excess water. Thus, taking forever to dry out. To help absorb the water and dry the floor faster, I go over it with a Swiffer dry. Which defeats the purpose of my new mop; it is too much time involved. I bought a big headed mop to quickly get the job done and now I feel I have increased the work. I need to find another mop. Perhaps if you have a janitor bucket the ringing might be easier. For me, this is not practical. I purchased the mop for my home because I have a lot of tile flooring.

The head of hair is good; there is mop hair on each side of the head, except for the middle of it. In the middle of the mop head; it is bald, it is where the head of hair attaches to the rod. So if the mop is not tilted to one side when you mop, you'll scratch the floor.
