This is my first experience with a looper and a Boss pedal. I purchased it as a tool to loop background chords that I could play melodies or solo over. I opted for the RC-1 since I wasn’t planning to use it for storing loops. The pedal is simple to use and does exactly what I need it to. The construction is sturdy and I can see why Boss pedals are deemed some of the best. The additional accessories were good value, especially the power adaptor. Great product overall.

This is my first looper pedal.

Pros: you can easily create your own loops to jam to. The sound quality seems good, though I don't really have a point of reference against other loop stations.

If you count it out, it's pretty straightforward, but it's easy to get the timing off, so I don't know if I'd want to do live work with it. Maybe with a lot of practice it'd be second nature.

Cons: tapping is a little clunky from a reclining chair. I find it's hard to play and remember the controls at the same time.

I bought this looper here just a day before I was gifted another looper, so I used it for one day. However, during that one day I got used to the settings (they are amazingly easy to master), and the instruction manual is larger than my office desk it seems! But, it is easy to get the hang of, if I did it in one day than you will have no problems at all! I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there are better loopers (in my opinion) out there within a similar price range that can be bought. This works great though! It is BOSS, so you can't really go wrong with BOSS!
