Makes cap embroidering easy by simply attaching to the machine hoop. A special clamp firmly holds the visor which keeps the cap securely in place throughout your projects. A tranparent template with grid marking ensures proper design placement. You will be able to embroider beautiful designs on caps and other hard to handle items.You will need the large hoop to use this cap hoop. Will all also Work with the following machines: Brother 700 750D 770, 780D. Simplicity SE2 , SE3. All White Embroidery Machines. compatible with Bernina Deco 500, Deco 600 .Brother PE100, PE150, PE200, PE180 How to Use Step 1. Remove alignment plastic from 4 x 4 hoop. Step 2. Loosen top plate from front of Hat Hoop. Step 3. Turn over and loosen bottom adjustment screw, opening should be created. Step 4. Place side of 4 x 4 hoop in space and retighten bottom adjustment screw. Do not over tighten. Step 5. Secure hat to Hat Hoop for embroidery. Place brim of hat under top plate and tighten. You are Ready to begin

Second, it does fit the 5x7 hoop but the hoop will be upside down; so you'll need to rotate all your embroidery files. It doesn't fit snuggly in the 5x7, so your stabilizing material won't be held in place (unless you use a sticky back one).
I'm going to work with it tomorrow and update my review. I'm curious how I'll need to move my center around to get the image to stitch in the center of the hat correctly.
The directions oddly enough, show the hat hoop on a 5x7 hoop.
Update 6/10/20: hoop did the job. I'm satisfied with the way it worked out.
