I bought these as a fun project to do with my kids and they did not disappoint! Four of the five rocks were beautiful geodes, one was just a nodule. The nodule was extremly hard to crack... Nothing my husband, a metal punch, and a handheld sledge couldn't handle! We will polish the inside for a nicer look. The other rocks were realitively easy to open... My seven year old was even able to crack one! They recommend the sock method, but if you want nice clean breaks I would not go that route. All in all, I am very satisfied with the product we received and will buy again!

We thought there would be more than one geode. There was one rather large geode, and the inside was cool but there was only one.... my son broke it open in about 30 seconds and then just added it to the collection. If I had known there was only one I would not have spent the money on it. There was nothing really special for the price that was paid.
