The instructions are clear, and the barrel was nicely sealed within a few days (I guess smaller barrels seal faster).
I filled it with Mellow Corn whiskey (100 proof, harsh to the nose and pallet) and after just one week I could see, smell, and taste a great difference. I think I’m going to have a lot of fun with this newfound hobby, and this barrel is great to get started.

Custom Laser Engraved Personalization
I'm sure we are probably partial when we tell you the smell of oak burning is a real treat. A trip down the engraving aisle always invokes images reminiscent of acoustic guitars, a bottle of bourbon, hot dogs and close friends around a camp fire. FYI - Hotdogs can be engraved and smell great, however, frowned upon by management.
Our laser engravers offer state of art technology, calibrated precisely to ensure constant power and speed delivery to the barrel head surface. Please note that no ink is used in the engraving process. Any fluctuations in the finished burn is solely "Nature's" doing as combinations of hard and soft grains can yield some contrasting results. This is part of the beauty that makes it truly unique. Just as no two pieces of oak are the same, your engraved barrel is a "one of a kind" masterpiece.

UPDATE: Changed from 1 star to 4. They made it right it's a beautiful product. I hate that I had to jump through hoops but I may have just been unlucky. It happens.My angry review preserved below, likely the product of miscommunication. 5-star product when it works!I followed instructions and this 5gal still leaks roughly 2 months later.Refund requested and the seller lied about communication and ignored the attached pictures--see the gross leaking iron. Paper towels get like this every few hours. Additionally, the spigot never worked properly.I have seen functional versions of this product and they are great. Buy elsewhere--you've been warned.

Used for our whiskey blending ceremony on our wedding day. It was absolutely beautiful and everyone kept asking where we got the barrel. Followed the instructions on how to cure it and it has been since Sept. of 2022 and have not had any issues or leaking.
