I was so excited to finally order this iron. I just opened the box and the iron box is pretty banged up!!! I open box up hoping it’s only the box that’s in poor condition, the iron is worse than the box! It’s used! The iron plate has a rust type color on it. How annoying and disappointing.

I'm a quilter and home sewer. I've usually purchase Rowenta irons in the past because I like the weight of the models I've used. This iron isn't as heavy, but I don't think it needs to be. The cotton setting is hot enough that I don't feel I need to exert extra pressure to my projects. So far, I've only used the cotton setting, so can't say how well the other settings are. The water reservoir seems to hold more water than I'm used to, which is great when pressing several pieces. It is taking time to get used to not setting the iron on it's "heel" when I'm done pressing. You just need to set it down on the plate, and the iron senses your not moving it, so it raises up off the plate. It will turn off if you don't use it after a few minutes, but you just need to move it and it will heat right back up in hardly any time at all. I really appreciate how long the cord is. It is great for really large projects. So far I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I just received mine in the mail today and have only used it for about 15 minutes, but I have to say this is honestly the best iron I have ever used. The I-touch technology works very well, it heats up quickly and the steam it produces is better than my previous $30 Hamilton Beech Iron. The color is lovely, and it is great that $10 of the purchase price goes to Breast Cancer research. The majority of my iron use is quilting and sewing projects, however I do iron some nice dress shirts and pants from time to time. I only did a few seams, and ironed out some wrinkles on some cotton fabric but it was a smooth glide, and it didn't take long to get used to leaving the iron down instead of lifting it on its heel. The only downside is that my small ironing board isn't big enough to hold both the iron while it's flat and a large piece of fabric. I think I'm going to make my own square ironing board and this shouldn't be a problem any longer.

For years I hesitated to spend much money on an iron. I've sent a few plummeting to their death accidentally bumping into the ironing board, so I've always bought basic irons--which is probably why I've always hated ironing. I've also got a 4 inch burn scar where my forearm brushed the side of a hot iron reaching for the spray starch. Then I took up quilting and saw this Oliso being used in online tutorials. After killing another basic iron, I decided to give this one a go. This one doesn't go toppling over when I bump the board. I can reach for my starch, seam guide, pins, etc. without fear and it irons like a dream! No spitting or dripping, no having to go over and over and over and over the fabric to get creases out, and the ample time before it automatically shuts off means no waiting for it to heat up again after chain piecing the next set of seams to be pressed.

It's advertised for sewers and quilters, with a larger steam compartment. The steam works great and I really love the way you lay it flat and it pops up, so much more stable than standing it up the usual way. It's going to make quilting so much easier and faster. The color pink is a plus.

Update. I ordered this back in 2019. Unfortunately, in February/March 2020 there was a problem. I contacted the company and they had me return it. Then covid struck. It has been over 9 months since I returned this product. Not once has the company contacted me regarding the status UNLESS I contact them. Nine months and they are still using covid as an excuse for not replacing it. So, if you do buy this product, pray nothing goes wrong as their "customer service" is non-existent regarding replacements

Love this iron. It stays hot and doesn’t leak and I love the lifting mode.

*****. UPDATE ****** THE DAY AFTER I WROTE THIS REVIEW, THIS IRON TOTALLY DIED. NO HEAT, NO STEAM, NO NOTHING. SENT BACK TO AMAZON, AND I’M GOING TO GIVE ANOTHER ONE (SAME KIND, SAME MODEL) ANOTHER TRY. HOPEFULLY THE SECOND ONE WILL LAST LONGER THAN ONE MONTH.

I have only had this iron for a few days now, but I do love the iTouch feature. It doesn't seem to provided as much steam as my old Rowenta, but it does a good job of pressing my quilt piecing. It is nice that is stays heated for 30 minutes, so when I go back to it after sewing it is still hot, but it still has an automatic shut off feature if I forget. The longer cord is also nice so I can place my ironing board in the most convenient location without worrying about where the outlets are.

There's not enough room to right a good review of this Oliso iron. Yes, it's very expensive for an iron, but this iron is so much better than any other iron I've ever owned, it's well worth it. I'm a quilter so I need a very reliable, HOT iron with good steam. I need an iron that doesn't spit or get nasty on the bottom. I need an iron that doesn't fall over when I rest it to the side of the ironing board. And being a pretty iron doesn't hurt, either. This iron does everything I need it to do and it does it beautifully! The most amazing thing it does is allow you to put it down in the down position, and the little feet come out to lift it up so you don't have to worry about starting a fire or burning your fabric. This feature alone makes this iron a 5 star iron. Save your money if you can't afford it now, and you'll never have to buy another iron. And, most likely, you'll agree with me when I say this iron is fabulous!

After watching quilting tutorials and reviews on the tube featuring this iron I knew one day I would ask for this product. This was the year and the birthday gift I wanted and what a great choice especially in pink. The itouch technology allows the iron to sit flat on the board without worry of scorching the fabric. and it has power steam within seconds of turning the iron on. It also has auto turn off and a very clever easy to use water reservoir. The cord allows for either handed use. The price is a bit more, it will be a bit heavy for some, and there is a learning curve but a great investment especially for those who sew.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not heavy but still presses well

Automatic lift makes it easy to use. No need to lift a heavy machine every time you stop ironing or pressing. It lifts itself. This makes it easier to iron longer with no arm pain. Steam is well regulated with several settings. Many heat settings. Long cord. Altogether and excellent machine especially for home sewers and quilters.

Being a quilter it is important to have a good, reliable iron. This one goes a step further with the feet. The 30 minute shut off time is a good length while you are sewing. The steamer is strong and it presses nicely. I am content with the purchase and looking forward to years of usage.

Very disappointed in seller!
Took the payment then never shipped them product then eventually reimbursed my money. ☹️👎👎👎
If love to have been able to review the iron itself but seeing as an I got was a run around and my money borrowed then returned after a while with nothing to show for it I can't do that for you.
As for the iron itself, of still like to try it. I bought another made by CHI and it's been great!
