Just received this today and had to try it out! It worked perfectly for me. I sealed a homemade soap that I’d made and was quite happy at how quick and easy it was. To get the best seal without a lot of bunched up plastic, you need to use the sealer to trim off as much of the plastic around what you put in the bag so there is less plastic to melt over it. Then take your hairdryer and aim it directly at the bag until it shrinks up.
I will say that the plastic sealer feels cheaply made, but for the small price I payed, I will be careful not to be rough with it and I don’t believe there will be an issue. I read several reviews saying that it was junk and didn’t work right out of the box but I’d like to note that it comes with a big bright piece of paper saying to please contact the supplier if you have any issues and they will replace it for FREE. I’m super happy with it and will be using it for all sorts of homemade soaps, candles, lotions and other DIY things that I’ll be making for gifts, it really makes your products look like something you bought in a store. One last note, be careful if you use this to do crafts with children, the heat element is small but it gets hot enough to cause serious burns. Also, you need to take the batteries out when not in use, there is no on/off switch. Happy sealing!!

I have never used a heat sealer or shrink wrap packaging befor. I'm glad this came with instructions. It took me a few tries to realize I have to go a little slower with the sealer to get a solid seal. I chose a smaller piece of test soap for this very situation. The wrap shrunk well with bursts from my hair dryer seeing as this is a soap product and I didn't want to melt it. The sealer feels a little "cheap" when putting batteries in. I was afraid I was going to break it. But I didn't and it works well. Thank you!
