Works surprisingly well! I'm very happy with this little unit, I own several amps, some don't have onboard reverb which is originally why I bought this. I've found that I actually like the reverb this produces better than that produced by the onboard spring units on my amps that have it, so now I use this always. Reverb units can be very expensive, and I've tried a few, but this, at $30, performs as well as those costing much more in my opinion.

Sturdy little box and it does indeed provide spring-like reverb. The depth knob literally does nothing. I thought that was hyperbole when other reviews said it, but it’s true: the "dwell" knob might not even be connected to anything. Good reverb in a pinch, but manage your expectations.

** Update **
I ended up returning this. I got tired of the "Dwell" knob not being functional, and the reverb itself is just not very usable. Lowering my rating and advising that you look elsewhere.

Sound: Yeah, it's spring reverb. Simulated, artificial spring reverb, but definitely spring type, not room, hall, or woody. It can be a very, very heavy effect.

Controls: They really work, and you're going to need them. See above.

Bypass: Effect aside, it passes signal better in bypass than when on. What I mean is, this box doesn't suck TONE, but it does suck LEVEL when engaged, and since there's no such control onboard, well...

Build: Super duper. Would probably survive a bomb blast and could be used as a throwing weapon in the zombie apocalypse and still work afterwards.

I'm not sure how this would work in a live rig. I only use it at home for direct recording and headphone jamming. I like the effect in certain setting and with a LOW amount of effect it stacks pretty awesomely with Azor Delay (I use Delay in front of Reverb). When I do engage this effect, I usually boost gain on my mixer to bring the level back up where I need it. It's okay and for the price, not a bad buy. For me and my usage, it frankly barely registers as a worthy buy because reverb effects in DAW work just as well.

Because of the price and the fact that the sound isn't bad and I do find some use for it, I give it 4 stars. In reality, though, it's probably a 3.5.

I just unboxed it and it has a Huge range of Reverb... More than I can use ! (for now ) I recently bought the EMB Pro Mini Guitar 300W Amplifier ( practice/small venue ) and I'm loving it but it has no built in reverb. This solved that and they sound great together!

This reverb sounds okay. It doesnt do anything special, and it isnt great if you set it high in the mix or anything. its basically like a generic amp reverb tank. If you have no reverb and no money, this isnt a bad option and does exactly what it set out to do. A lot of cheap reverbs sound horrible but this one is okay.

Do not buy for actual use for your sound. I knowingly bought this not expecting much. It has a mix control, a dwell control and an on off switch. The dwell control does not work. A third of the controls don't work. I wanted to test what the pignose would sound like with reverb and it cost me $20 to find out.

While this reverb pedal has only the mix and dwell settings, it is a very nice and full sounding digital reverb pedal. This pedal adds no noise, which I'm very happy about. Definitely recommended.
