I was a little worried when I opened the package and saw the box for the first time. The attached images show the amazingly long run sentence that describes the product and the caution side would have left me laughing normally, had this not been purchased for my toddler. I found a lead testing kit and decided to test the paint on these blocks and to my surprise, they all checked out! I think China may have fixed some of the lead issues from past years.Overall, the quality isn't that bad, but it definitely lacks in the finer details. Other toys like this tend to have beveled edges on their dowels with better overall finish work. But, for the price it's hard to complain too much. I haven't given these to my son yet, but I'm sure he'll really enjoy playing with it
