It was the first time using the magnet, so I head down to the river at my home town. I gave it some slack, swing it a few times and launch it! It got a hold off a steel beam that was sunk years ago by a building remodeling company in the middle of the river. I managed to get the bungee string right in the middle of the bridge to see if I could get it off. I pulled and pulled, but I could not get it to budge. It was stuck to it like weld to a fresh joint at welding school. All I could do is to let it go and hope I could get a boat and diving gear to get it back, because that magnet was not going to let go. I will be ordering another couple magnets in case I can't get the first one out.

So I'm trying to figure out how to mount a 20LB item against a wall. Thinking this 700LB strength shouldn't have a problem, it seems there are other variables I didn't take into account. Magnet feels heavy built. It's weight feels like quality.

Sadly, side mounting on this seems to be worse than the smaller ones. I don't know if it's the surface area or what but I assumed that since this is a 1 side magnet with a pulling force of 700 LB, the pull should be more than enough to snap hard. Using the cushioning material that came with the magnet as a guideline, about 1 inch distance the sliding force on it is rather weak. Test area is the side of a fridge, and I assumed that when someone tried that with a 400 LB one, a 700LB one might actually succeed. It didn't.
Support did answer my question prior about this and did agree distance also plays a factor.
So sad that the pull strength isn't enough to overcome the drag. Magnet itself is too heavy so it wouldn't work for my scenario.

So for me this unfortunately didn't work.
Sadly pending return on this. Normal circumstances I would keep it since it was a promotion price on it, but I'll get the smaller one which already works.

UPDATE: The magnet is indeed super strong. The seller contacted me and offered a full refund for my initially dissatisfied review. They then sent a follow-up reply to my review attempt to stick it to a refrigerator indicating the thin metal on the refrigerator was the culprit. I stuck the magnet to an iron I-beam in my house and was able to do pull-ups on it, and I'm over 200lbs. So the magnet is strong if put on a substantial piece of metal. This makes total sense and I guess I learned something new today!

We have found that you stated that the product cannot lift the refrigerator because the surface of the refrigerator is only covered with a thin layer of iron sheet, so the actual lifting weight that can be achieved is slightly lower.
