I did a lot of research when looking for an easel for my 2 kids. I needed a good white board and chalk board, I needed it to be used on two different sides, and it needed it to be dang sturdy. I get nervous reading reviews, this one had the best reviews, so I went with it. So glad that I did!
The cover for the black board was tricky to figure out at first, but once it started peeling, it was okay to get off! Just be mindful when taking it off, and you'll be fine!
I ADORE all the stuff it came with! The chalk, magnets, erasers, everything! The boards erase clean, and are made of a great material ♡ thank you! I sent a link to my siblings to get it for their kids, because it's that amazing.

I was looking at the Melissa & Doug easel for kids but you had to buy all of the accessories separately so it would’ve been 100+ dollars. I found this one and I got it on a deal for a great price and it is the same thing. It comes with the paint cups, chalk, chalk holders, a lot of magnets, paper roll and another magnet to hold a paper roll down. You can paint you can draw on a chalkboard and you can write with dry erase markers. It’s an all in one. My three year old loves it. You can also adjust the height for how tall your child is, I have ours on the lowest setting. It took five minutes to assemble. I did spray paint the bright orange screws white just because I liked the look better.

This easel was an Xmas gift for my 5 year old! It came with everything shown and I think it's a fantastic value. There is film on both the chalk board and white board. If you un-screw the top of the frame they're attached to, you can slip both the Chalkboard/dry erase boards out and /easily/ peel the protective wrap off! I do not recommend trying to peel while they're in the frame, or they will not come off well! It is height adjustable, so I think we'll be getting years of use out of it!

I purchased this for my grandkids for when they visit. I just spent and hour and a half putting it together. The assembly of the unit itself is fairly easy and straightforward if you follow the picture directions. I couldn't find the end caps for the legs at first as they were tucked into the paint cups instead of the assembly package of screws. I would suggest setting the legs at the highest height first and adjust later. Also, do not tighten the top frame screws until you have the middle tray set in place. Well constructed, sturdy and so far so good. Then I tried to remove the "film" on both boards. There is no tab to pull or a way to grab it with your fingers. The video shows using a box cutter. I ended up shaving some of the frame wood in the process and damaging the paint and had little success getting a purchase on the film because it goes under the frame edges. I finally managed to get both sheets off (with sore fingers, scratches and bits of plastic still caught in the edges). The film should just cover the visible parts of the board and a pull tab would have been nice - I spent more time on that than anything else. Then I wrestled with the accessory packages and found that the 4 cups were stuck together tight. I had to run hot water over them and hurt my fingers and hands even more until I managed to finally pry them apart. I filled the cups with the magnets and markers as I don't plan on the kids painting, but then the tops don't fit after putting the magnets in and the markers need to stay on the dry erase side where there is no tray to hold them or the eraser - the construction directions show the cup holders on the dry erase side. A marker/chalk/eraser tray on each side with the cups in the middle would have made more sense. Took me awhile to figure out how the magnetic crayon holders work. You have to push one end to open up the other end to slide the crayon in and it clamps it in place, then you push the end to extend the crayon and peel the crayon paper off as it gets used. For anyone complaining that the eraser doesn't work for the chalk, you have to wet it first. There is a magnet on the chalk eraser, but not on the dry eraser. Lastly, the paper roll holder is just a dowel, so the paper is loose and slides back and forth beyond the board area, you will have to use magnets to hold it down at the bottom. A mechanism to slide the paper through and tear off would have been a better design, you will have to use scissors to cut off pages. The nice thing is you can use the paper on either side (and make use of both sides of the paper) and the markers and crayons also work on the paper, not just the boards. So it took more effort than I expected setting it up, but it is otherwise well crafted and hopefully the kids will make good use of it through the years. Will have to find chalk crayons somewhere when these run out as this company only sells the paper rolls separately.

Edit: I decided to flip the middle section around, so the tray is on the dry erase board side and can hold the markers and eraser since the chalkboard eraser and crayon chalk holders have magnets and can stay right on the chalkboard. That frees up the cups to hold all the magnets and now the lids fit. Voila!

My granddaughter wanted one for ages, luckily Father Christmas was able to oblige. Plenty of magnets to help with learning letters and numbers. The chalks have a great device so they slip in a pen holder. One thought, a friends child has one similar, and the borax rubber is magnetic, so always stuck on the board and easy to find. That wd be the only thing I wd change, but it’s a very minor thing.
