If you are looking for a relatively easy to use, budget telescope, this does the job nicely. Is it perfect? No. If you are an amateur astronomer, this probably isn't for you. If you are a parent/grandparent looking for a gift for an inquisitive child, this is fantastic. I was impressed with how clear the images were. The spotting scope actually is usable making finding images in the objectives much easier. The tripod is quite stable, which is a huge plus. Unfortunately, its also tiny. You'll either need to put it on a table or lay in the grass. I used an old camera tripod and it worked out pretty well, but it wasn't as maneuverable and stable as the included tripod.Using this telescope with a phone and the included holder is a little tricky. The eye piece holder is not set firmly in place, so the weight of a phone tends to move it quite a bit. This results in the image being pulled out of the frame. This is accentuated when trying to use the Barlow adapter making it almost unusable, especially with a phone. I think looking through the eye piece gives a much better experience than using it with a phone. The telescope is very compact. Save the box and store everything inside. The telescope is also small enough to be stored on a desk or shelf.Update: I added a layer of painters tape around the neck of the focus arm. This helped a lot with stability when focusing. My images are no longer pulled out of frame when attaching a cell phone. I designed an adapter to connect my Nikon 1 cameras to the scope and the images turned out pretty amazing. The moon can easily be explored and the moons of Jupiter are clearly visible. I even captured Saturn with it's rings, though it's tiny and blury. Don't expect to see a lot of detail of the planets.

I purchased this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He's a beginner and often likes to go outside and look at the moon and stars on a clear night with his bird-watching binoculars so I thought it was time for an upgrade.

He was able to quickly and easily assemble it but chose not to read the directions, when it came time to try to see the harvest moon, he had to break those bad boys out and read them in order to be able to actually see anything. Fortunately, they were easy to read.

The box comes with the scope, a short stand, two lenses and an adapter and remote piece to use with a cell phone so you can take photos with it. We weren't able to get the phone piece to work at first so it took a while to orient it and get it to stay in the piece for it, but once we did we were able to take some remote photos.

We're going to keep working with it because some of it is just getting used to it, but it's a great set for a beginner, shipping was so fast with Prime it arrived in only 1 day, and the price point was excellent for someone to learn on and experiment with. Very happy with this purchase.

My 4 year old granddaughter is very intrigued with the solar system and she loves looking through my husband's telescope every opportunity she gets. I wanted to buy a telescope of her own that was great for beginners and easy to operate. She was thrilled when we gave it to her for Christmas and it was so fun to see her excitment. Assembly was simple and took less than 10 minutes to set up. It's compact and lightweight which makes it simple for her to take it to multiple locations. The tripod is stable but a little disappointed that it will not extend so It needs to be placed on a table or the ground. My daughter-in-law uses her camera tripod if there's not a table or flat surface. I like that it comes with different magnification lens which are easy to swap and the images are clear. It also comes with a phone adapter but it could be a little tricky to use because the weight of the phone tends to move the eyepiece putting the images out of focus. Over all if you're on a budget and want a telescope for beginners that is easy to use then this telescope is for you. I am not disappointed for choosing to buy this telescope.

I gifted this to my husband for our anniversary as a starter thing, and he loves it. For the price we paid and the size it is it's great. The only problem is trying to read the instructions and making sense of the different lenses.

I (Santa) got my nearly 8y/o son this telescope for Christmas and he was SO excited...he asked Santa for it. I found it pretty simple to assemble and while I wish the tripod was MUCH taller (for standing rather than using a table/counter) it looks super cool and my son was happy. However, when we tried to use it to view the moon at night, we couldn’t see anything. I found it helpful to look up instructional videos on YouTube and learned a bit about focusing which helped somewhat.
I wrote to the telescope company (Toyerbee) and asked if they had any tutorials as well and they responded very quickly with helpful hints. We/I tried using the telescope during the day first, in order to figure out focusing and how the telescope functions, however after multiple attempts (both daytime and nighttime) I did not have success. We are disappointed not to be able to stargaze, but I wanted to make it clear that the issues we’re having may be kinks worked out in the future and the customer service at Toyerbee is SO excellent, it’s worth trying out in the future.

Somebody always answered my emailed promptly.

I bought this for my friend in Nigeria who is a captain on a Naval ship as a birthday present because this a product he has been asking me to get for him for a long time. He has been over the moon since he received it. He described his absolute joy at the superlative effectiveness of the night view when he is using it at night to gaze at the stars on board his ship. I bought two of this product, one for myself and the other for my naval friend. I have not used my own but from my friend's experience I am eager to have the opportunity to unpack my own too. As a former naval commander myself after this covid has cleared, I hope to go on board a Cruise to the Bahamas when I will have the opportunity of using my telescope to gaze at the stars at night which will be a re-live of my Naval days.
