    I like that it has the pattern on the canvas and it’s not blank.
    It is extremely cute and I just have not been able to actually use it I have tried to start it you need to have something included where you can tape the edges of the item back so that you can easily maneuver it when you actually sit down to work the craft other than that I recommend it

    Received item without the “P” (DMC-472) color yarn in package, which is at least 20% of the canvas’s background! Very disappointed. Will probably keep and buy my own yarn to replace it. Otherwise very cute packaging with snap closure, adorable canvas, and hook included.

    So this is a very nice latchhook kit. It is packaged nicely, the back comes pre-sewn on which is nice. The grid pattern on the paper is very clear. HOWEVER, the codes on the yarn do NOT match the paper. For example my light green is labeled K. There is nothing on the entire paper labeled K. Funny enough the instructions tell you to follow the yarn label. This is where a bit of common sense comes in handy. I can clearly see on the grid and the picture and the pattern that the green is labeled P and I will just have to follow knowing that it is P (not K as printed on the yarn). This has happened with almost all of my yarn colors. This is a simple pattern with 8 different colors, so not an issue, however, If this was a more colorful pattern with, for example, 5 shades of green, I can see this being a major problem. Besides the yarn and use of your noggin, this is a really well made kit. The hook that comes with it really is a beginners hook. I personally have my own ergonomic handled one that I prefer but nothing wrong with what it comes with, especially for small hands. However, as mentioned the yarn issue makes it a little harder to just hand off to a small child to do. You would have to sit and explain the yarns probably.

    The kit comes with everything you need and it very cute, however, there was a very strong chemical smell possibly from the ink on the grid that gave me headaches and dizziness. I tried airing it out outdoors and using some Febreeze when that didn’t work but had to end up throwing it out due to the strong smell.
