Beautiful, good for a rough time, some pieces break

Beautiful, good for a rough time, some pieces break
It's fun and looks beautiful, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's worth the money. The pieces come out of the boards fine -- for the most part. But some of the thinner ones I was worried about breaking didn't break... only one. The instructions are pretty standard and mostly easy to follow, but there is one vital part where I messed up, and going back to fix it would take ages and also probably require breaking the whole thing; so basically I won't be able to put all the countries on it and use it as an actual globe. As a young person, I noticed a lot of people in the reviews mentioning how small the instructions are, and I can see that now; I didn't notice so much when I was building because I was too into it, but I attached a picture for reference so you can see just how small each instruction piece is.It is supposed to spin, and it does come with a little tee light candle so that you can wax it to help it spin better; I didn't bother with the wax, so it basically doesn't spin for me. The mistake I made in putting it together would not affect how well it spins, so basically if you want it to spin without a huge fuss, put the wax on. Still I probably would worry about spinning it, because it probably would break some of the pieces quite easily when you move it.It took me a couple hours to put most of it together by myself. These kinds of projects are always fun, but I don't know that I'd suggest someone buy this one in particular -- for the price, as well as for how it ends up, unless you're okay with just a nice-looking globe that won't move. (And maybe won't be able to fit all the countries/continents on well.)

I was very excited to put this laser cut wooden puzzle together as I have a collection of at least 10 so far. At first it was a little bit confusing, but I was able to figure out many of the issues I had amd completed it without. It looks great and works fine with when it turns and the gears work. Pay attention to the instructions and you will be able to complete it.

My sister loved it and got it together within a few days. Make sure you have the outer rings right side up. Otherwise you'll have to disassemble so the land bits will fit. Also glue for broken pieces will likely be needed.

Loved the results, but in some places the instructions were not completely clear - had to "revise" the assembly to make the globe work. Since I gave two grandsons the same wooden globe puzzle, I did forward to them the problems and how I resolved them.

I have put together a hurdy-gurdy and a vitascope. I was looking for another puzzle to put together during our time in quarantine. This looked cool so I bought it. I had read the other reviews so I thought I knew what to expect. There is a coolness factor about this globe spinning and such. When it came it was not in a box but in a label wrapped with cellophane. This is a problem if you plan on completing this puzzle over time. With the other two puzzles I did, I was able to put pieces back in their boxes. Not the case with this puzzle.

I read that the directions are hard to read. Those reviewers weren't kidding. The pictures are no bigger than a square 1 1/2 inches. I spent many moments taking a picture with my phone and enlarging it to make sure I was understanding the directions correctly (and seeing them right.) Some of the pieces were not labeled which meant I had to use the process of elimination.

Putting the globe together was a frustrating experience. Pieces kept popping out of place when I went to assemble it as a whole. It took taking it apart 3 times before I was able to get it together with everything staying in place. I had to stop before I put the "countries" on the globe. This has to be the worst part. Pieces fall off if your not careful. Again it is frustrating having to photograph and enlarge the instructions to try to figure out where and which pieces to use and having to pray that nothing breaks as you try not to force the pieces into small and tiny spaces.

I would not buy from this unknown company again. I am still putting the continents on and will be doing it so I don't throw the entire globe across the room in frustration. Stick with Ugears and Rokr mechanical puzzles.

Very challenging but fun. Some pieces had to be glued because they kept falling off. End product looks great

This one is very detailed; however, it doesn't move when assembled due to too much torque on weak links. If you attempt to move it, the pieces will break. Additionally, half the sheets i received were cut poorly resulting in critical pieces that did not fit (I forced them to fit anyway to at least keep it assembled). As an engineer, I would have used more sturdy material for some of the pieces, such as metal rods, to assist with movement when torque is applied. If you want to buy it for its looks, then it's fine but you may need to use some wood glue as most of the holes are too large to stay together properly (especially the bottom base piece and some parts in the globe). I thought this was a total waste of money.

As far as ease putting it together, some of the pieces on the sheet were not labeled and there is no logic to which pieces are on which sheets - you would expect most of the "A" pieces on the "A" sheet, but that's not how it is. Due to the oddly cut shapes, some of the pieces won't fit together as they should.

I've done nearly every wooden puzzle on Amazon - especially the mechanical movement ones - and have had no issues thus far until I got to this one.
