How to use
1. Loosen the outer screw, lay flat the inside hoop, put the cloth on the hoop, then put the outer hoop on the inside hoop.
2. Flat the cloth and tighten the screw.
3. Continue to flat the cloth to ensure there are no pleats, and pay attention to fabric to make the warp and the welt both vertical and horizontal, and finally tighten the screws.
4. Inspect the hoop whether it is tight enough. The way to check the tightness is to use a needle with thread going through the fabric surface. It is workable if there is a bang bang sound when pulling the thread.

2 of the hoops snapped in the packaging before I opened them. Now 2 out of 12 isn't the end of the world, and I was too excited to use the ones that didn't break to go through the return/replace process, but it did bum me out a little and is something to be aware of.Otherwise, very excited to use these! This is a new craft for me and I'm enjoying it greatly.

Absolutely perfectly worth every cent! Arrived quickly. Perfectly packaged. Super quality. Wonderful purchase. I highly recommend these and will keep this item/seller at the top of my "Go To" list.

One bit of advice: They're not all "exactly" the same size. Yes, they're all 6in. but with only the most minor fluctuation. I'd removed the inner hoops on several, to make my task a bit quicker but when I tried to replace the outer hoops, 1 or 2 didn't quite fit. It's not noticeable, but it can be a bit off-taking at first. My recommendation is: keep the "set" together, outer and inner hoops together. The "tightening" apparatus (metal screw) can be a bit difficult to adjust on some but still easy enough to do with just your fingers.

All said, an absolute 5-star!

Pretty cheaply made, the hoops are a bit misshapen, so they do not hold the fabric quite tight enough. The metal hardware is surprisingly sturdy, I tightened it quite snugly with a mini screwdriver, and it held up well. The fabric slips while embroidering, especially if doing a more complicated pattern where it takes more effort to push the needle through more than one layer of fabric.
They don't look awful, so I'm very happy to give them away as gifts, or use it to frame completed projects and hang on my wall. Going forward, I will follow the strategy of using a better quality $2 hoop from JoAnns or other craft store to actually embroider the fabric, and then transfer the completed project onto one of these hoops to glue down and display/give away. Not awful, but definitely cheap!
