I really liked this product. My daughter liked it very much as well. It kept her busy for a good hour. The only problem is, that one of the balls were loose and came out of the socket. With a baby on the way, we cannot keep this toy. Otherwise, I do really like it, just be aware of choking hazard.

We originally used this toy as an occupational therapy tool for my oldest son. He loved it so much that we bought him his own. It has been among his favorite Christmas presents. At 2 1/2, he is working on writing skills. And for a kid who loves numbers and letters, this is the perfect application. Little brother (1 1/2) even likes picking up the magnetic pencil and making the bearings pop up. This is incredibly easy to use and stores nicely. The writing utensil stores well in the handle and the double sided writing surface is great. I love that we can work on both upper and lowercase letters without having to have 2 separate boards.

I had purchased a Magnatab alphabet board for $10 more than this one and I was so excited to have this one in another classroom. The Magnatab has been very durable. 10 minutes in to playing with this board a spring was flying out! The pen can easily be removed causing the spring and magnet tip to fall out! This is a very big inconvenience and huge SAFETY issue! I am so disappointed in this product.
