Chocolate Moon Café: A Wolf Shifter Paranormal Romance (Shifting Hearts Dating App Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 44 ratings

Chocolate and a breath of magic…
Emma Arden is the owner of The Chocolate Moon Café, where love and chocolate go hand-in-hand. She runs the enchanted café with her assistant, Ruby, and together they help lovers tie the knot with the assistance of a few spells and some delectable chocolate recipes. Anyone that is, except a certain Douglass wolf.

A wolf with something to prove just might find the love that sets him free…
Ben Douglass doesn’t believe in love at first bite. Quite the contrary. When he runs a scathing critique of The Chocolate Moon Cafe in his magazine, hell hath no fury like a witch scorned. When he visits the café at the insistence of his editor to prove his theory once and for all, will he end up wanting far more than what’s on the menu? Can a Douglass wolf and an Arden witch truly be fated to love each other for all eternity?

Although a very short read, Emma and Ben were magical together. Emma thought she would never have the benefit of her special magical talent in her cafe of helping people find their true loves. Ben is a food critic who didn't believe in magic. Ben was not who she thought would be her true love but the magic is powerful enough to change Ben's mind about magic. They get their happy ending!

Every chocolate lover is going to enjoy this book. In just a few short pages, the author was able to weave this story that pulls the reader in. The characters feel real and you can just imagine a scene such as this at your favorite chocolate shop. I love how the two of them came together so quickly and how there are underlying hints of history throughout the book. I wish there was such a shop near me. I can’t wait to read the next book from this author.

I was a bit disappointed with this book and didn’t think that it made the authors usual high standard. I liked the story overall but felt it was too short and left too many questions unanswered. I enjoyed the character dynamics and their individual personalities. The story was good overall but I was left wanting more.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Chocolate Moon Café by Ezrabet Bishop is the third Shifting Hearts Dating App short story. This is a really quick read that is cute and sexy. This read left me wanting more... More chocolate, more background on the "feud", more on the dating app itself. While I really enjoyed the read, I just thought it was too short for my taste. This makes a really good travel read or a quick pick-me-up read. Ms. Bishop always offers great characters and funny situations, sexy shifters and steamy connections. Overall, I would read it again and recommend it to others. Each story can be read as stand alone, so you don't have to worry about reading them out of series sequence.

Emma a witch owns and works at the cafe and Paige is her assistant. Ben Douglass wrote that chocolate isn’t connected with love and people haven’t found their mates through the cafe. Paige tried to get him write a retraction, so his boss sent him to check the claims out. He found out that the claims are true he fell in love with Emma. So a happy ending for them!

Emma is a witch, who spikes some of the sweets at her Cafe with a little bit of magic. Just a little, for people to find their true love - nothing compelling them, just to reveal what is there. When Ben, a food critique harassed for time decided to just make some snide remarks on chocolate and romance and love in connection with her Cafe. her guests react with an storm of outrage and force the editor to send Ben to actually visit the Cafe.
And thus their story begins ... when she lets him try some of her spiked sweets, the story becomes fast-paced.
An entertaining short story, fun to read.

This was a really cute short, chocolate sweet read. A determined wolf to stay single, a witch wishing for love and one obnoxious food review brings these two together in a short romance over a late lunch and chocolate. It was a refreshing story that I wished was longer but was just the tempting short to fill a lunch hour.

The author has given us wonderful characters. The story moves quickly and flows smoothly. Ben, reporter, goes to the Chocolate Moon Café to interview the owner, Emma, not realizing that she is a witch. Even though they are compatible on the dating app, will they be compatible in real life?
